He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Prentiss and Neva Smith (Guthrie); and his siblings, Anne Elizabeth and Charles Everett Smith. He is survived by: his wife Alice (Varnold); his daughters, Brenda Elizabeth Smith and Sarah Kathryn Stanley; his son-in-law Philip Stanley; his grandchildren, Allison Jane, Thea Elizabeth Ferdinand, Kyra Lee and Ian Charles Stanley; his sister-in-law Brenda V. Dilts; his niece Lyn (Dilts) Snowman (Shawn); and his nephews, Eric Dilts and Ken Varnold. He is also survived by his cousins and other family members and friends.
