He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Albert and Pearl Albert (Cummings); his wife Ruth Albert; his son Steve Ellis Albert; his grandson William Kenneth Hartrich; and his brothers, Edgar Albert and Chester Albert.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jeanie, Peggy Schiller (Cliff) of Oblong, Illinois and Jean Hardiman (Bruce) of Robinson, Illinois.; his grandchildren, James Hartrich (Heidi) of Denver, Colorado, Shelby Dersch (Joshua) of St Charles, Missouri, Christi Hardiman, Bruce Hardiman (Ashley), Dustin Hardiman (Jenny), Brandon Hardiman (Molly), Kyle Hardiman (Jenna), Jodi Allen (Joey) and Rod Schiller (Diana); his great grandchildren, McKegan Swanson, Bailey Hartrich, Elias Dersch and Everett Hartrich; and his siblings, Mildred Carter of Hidalgo, Jim Albert of Lapeer and Fred Albert of Effingham, Illinois..
