With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leslie R. McVeigh of Hickory Hills, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Leslie may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Judith McVeigh; his siblings, Claris Okon (Joseph) and Wayne McVeigh; and his nieces and nephews, Joel Okon (Christy), David Okon (Nancy), Karen Quinn (Anthony), Michael Hall (Liz) and Samantha Massie (Charles).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home (4727 W 103rd St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
