With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph B. Smith (Justice, Illinois), who passed away on December 25, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Mary Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sally of Kraw's Lounge; his daughters, Cathy Petrone (Greg) and Laura Smith; his grandchildren, Greg, Val Petrone and Tony Smith; and his siblings, Bell of Illinois, Edward Smith (Donna), James Jr. Smith (Lorrayne), John Smith (Dorothy), William Smith (Mary), George Smith (Yvonne), Marie Latek (Ches), Agnes Munch (Richard), Florence Steffenhagen (John) and Dorothy Murphy (William).
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM at the Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium (7861 88th Ave, Justice, IL 60458). A prayer will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Patricia Church (9040 S 86th Ave, Hickory Hills, IL 60457).
Donations to St. Jude or the Shiners in Joe's name would be appreciated if so desired.
