He was predeceased by: his father Eugene "Gene" Salch. He is survived by: his mother Betty Dehm Salch; his daughter Carissa Ramey (Jon) of Uniontown, PA; his stepson David Brady of Taylorville, IL; his grandchildren, Aiden and Teagan Ramey; and his brothers, John Salch, Stanford and Jim Salch (Denise Webb). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Heyworth American Legion Post 624.
