He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert B. Boyd and Fern Boyd (Collette); and his brothers, Jessie Rolph, William Boyd and James Boyd.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Boyd of Lisle, Michelle Boyd of Cissna Park, Brian Boyd of Cissna Park and Heather Boyd of Buckley; and his grandchildren, Bailey Boyd of Momence and Chloe Boyd of Lisle.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Manteno - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (291 N Main St, Manteno, IL 60950). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno.
