He is survived by: his siblings, Francis Ahern (Rose) of Herscher, Tom Ahern (Naomi) of Chicago, Theda Pazdur of Newport Beach and Kathy Meisenbach (Joe) of Kankakee; and his nieces and nephews, Joe Ahern (Tammy), Ryan (Angie), Theo Ahern, Paul Ahern, Mark Pazdur (JoAnne), Jonathan Meisenbach, Lynn McGinnis (Terry), Haydin, Kate Pazdur, Taylor and Nikki Doust.
There will be a private family funeral due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or AMITA St. Mary's Hospital Cancer Center.
