With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Whitis (Herscher, Illinois), born in Morris, Illinois, who passed away on April 16, 2018 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Abernatha and Pearlie Abernatha (Crawford); her grandson Robert Whitis; and her siblings, Jimmy Abernatha, Billy Abernatha, Earl Abernatha, Carrie Abernatha, Joyce Rudolph and Linda Crane.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Whitis (Peggy) of Springfield, Stephen Whitis (Diana) of Blodgett and Theresa Fulkerson of Herscher; her significant other Wayne West; her grandchildren, Richie Whitis, David Whitis, Stephanie Allen, Kevin Whitis, Amy Polander, Michael Pfaff, Lisa Rullo, Cathy Webb, Jeffery Whitis, Ernest Pearson, Joshua Pearson, Amanda Pearson and Destiny Fulkerson; and her sister Wilma Greene of Tennessee. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
