She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmar Weerts and Helen Weerts (McNeish); her sister Diane Reynolds (Weerts); her nephew Sam Weerts; and her mother-in-law Josephine Bowers.
She is survived by: her children, Andy Bowers (Cat) of Paducah, KY, Kristie DeLuca (Pete) of Boston, MA and Stephanie Mackin (Andrew) of Limestone; her grandchildren, Alvi Bowers (Zacary Price), Kinsley Mackin, Briggs Mackin and Ruth DeLuca; her siblings, Cathy Smith (Don), Kay Clendenin (Mike) and Kevin Weerts (Dixie); her former husband James K. Bowers; her father-in-law James "Skip" Bowers; her sister-in-law Jeanette Fritz (Mark); and her close friend Sandy DeKoster. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jensen Funeral Home (3639 EAST State Route 17, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in honor of Lisa, to the charity of one's choosing.
