With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Simon (Herrin, Illinois), born in Posen, Illinois, who passed away on January 21, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Simon and Violet Jozwick Simon. He is survived by: his wife Enola Simon (Watkins) of Goreville, Illinois; his sons, William (Cindy) of Illinois, Floyd (Patty) of Illinois and Alan Simon (Marcy) of Illinois; his grandchildren, Joshua, Justin (Venessa), Lacy, Randi and Alayna; and his great grandchildren, Tristan, Elijah, Paisley, Ava and Mack.

“So very sorry to hear of Bill leaving all of us. He was just a loving and interesting person. I meant him in Chicago Heights while he was a truck driver and found out he lived right down the street from my husband and I. He invited me to come down and meet his wife, Enola. That was somewhere in the mid 70’s and we have been friends with them ever since. Even after they moved to Creal Springs and then later we moved back toAva by my Mom and Dad and then ended up finding a place out by them”
