It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Thomas Ren of Herrin, Illinois, born in East Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Buck" D. Ren and Alice L. Ren (Cole); his former wife Millie Ren; his grandsons, William "Billy" and Jaxon Ren; and his siblings, John Ren and Pat Eaton.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Ren of Herrin; his children, William "Bill" Ren (Carla), Gerald Ren (Barb), George "Mike" Ren (Angie) and Sheila Ren; his stepsons, James Alex Byrley (Tabitha) and Earl Byrley; his grandchildren, Kristina Leigh Carraway (Joe), Georgie Michal Morrison (Austin), Caleb Deponai, Jennifer Crain (Mak), Bobby Cohn (Ashtin), Delta Hood (Preston), Shaydie Russell (Kaleb), Elijah Mohring, Elise Ren, Ben Kerstetter (Shannon), Cecilia Bassler (Wes), Bentley, Wesley and Kamden; and his brothers, Henry "Hank" Ren (Peggy) and Jerry Ren (Bonny). He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
