With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sam Garnati of Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on January 2, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvia Garnati (Pellegrini) of Murphysboro and Charles Garnati of Buscate, Italy.; his son Charles "Chuck" Garnati of State's Attorney; his wife Helen Hemlock; his sisters, Anna Mae Wells and Rose Smith; and his nephew Randy Wells.
He is survived by: his former spouse Dr. Robert L. Mees; his grandchildren, Scott Mees of Carbondale, IL and Elizabeth Garnati of Carbondale, IL.; and his great grandchild Kiley Rigdon of Hendersonville, TN..
