He is survived by: his wife Karen Breen of Herrin; his daughters, Michelle "Shelly" Gibbs (Braden) and Christie Mitchell (Jonathan); and his grandchildren, Chase Gibbs, Parker Gibbs, Annie Mitchell and Grace Mitchell. He is also survived by seven siblings; many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
