He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Missavage and Alba Missavage (Seurusaitis). He is survived by: his siblings, Dennis Missavage of Atlanta, GA and Arlene Frances Liss (Gene) of Park Ridge, IL; and his nephews, Marcus Missavage of Atlanta, GA, Joseph Liss (Lara) of Park Ridge, IL, John Liss of Mission, TX, David Liss (Kim) of Clayton, MO and William Liss of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

When Roger was the head of the computing lab in the early 1990s, he always helped me when I had problems with the Prime Mainframe computer that SIU had then. As graduate students, we also took one or two classes together. He was a friendly, helpful man. I remember vividly several conversations that I had with him on various topics. I looked up to Roger as a mentor. He made us work harder than in any other class. He would make an exam and if he could do it in 15 minutes, then it was good for us to complete in 2 hours. We would visit when we were going through C'dale or when Roger would visit his brother in Atlanta. RIP my friend”
