He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Robert "Bob" Lavern; his fiancée Debbie Collins of Herrin; his mother Shirley Tippy of Carterville; his siblings, Rocky Tippy of Herrin and Tammy Crosley (Doug) of Carterville; his stepchildren, Tina Monteith of Marion and Jason Monteith (Jenny) of Herrin; his grandchildren, Kyra, Christopher, Gracie, Faith, Logan and Hope; and his nieces and nephews, Rane, Kirby, Cody Crosley, Scott and Caitlin Tippy.
