It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert D. Childers of Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward "Bird Dog" and Delsie Lorene Childers (Bunch); and his siblings, Linda Louise Childers, James Edward Childers, Jr., Larry Joe Childers, David Lee Childers, Gordon Louis Childers, Loutisha Childers and Michael Childers.
He is survived by: his children, Shaun Childers and Kim; his son-in-law Jeff Bonham of Winter Garden, FL; his son Anthony Childers of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Gavin Childers, Zoe Childers, Allie Childers, Christopher Hess, Kaylie Bonham and Jessica Bonham; and his siblings, Gary Gene "Chink" (Patricia Childers) of Herrin, Janice Kay (Ronald Lantrip) of Carterville and Jennifer Jayne "Baby" (Dennis Diuguid) of Benton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
