He is survived by: his wife Donna Jean Howerton of Herrin; his son John Paul Howerton (Kathy) of Herrin; his grandsons, J. P. and Jaxon Howerton of Herrin; his siblings, Bobby Howerton (Virginia) of Johnston City and Lucinda Howell (Dennis) of Edwardsville; his mother-in-law Madge; his nephews, Bill, Kenny and Shane; his sons, Ben and Dustin; and his nieces, Sarah Evans, Amanda Kemper, Stephanie, Shaye, Beth and Mattie.
