She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey H. Johnson and Louetta Johnson (Gogue); her daughter Deanna Smirnes; her grandchildren, JoyLynne (Brown) Smail (Jonathan), Jacob Tucker (Sarah) and Jennifer Tucker; her brother Charles Johnson; her son-in-law Keith L. Brown; and her brother-in-law Harold Hicks.
She is survived by: her former husband Nicholas Smirnes; her daughter Teresa Brown (Smirnes); her grandson Adam Brown; her great grandchildren, Addison, Payton Brown, Zander, Elliot, Rowan Smail, Kylie and Joseph; her children, Jensen and Loralei Peairs; her son-in-law Jerry Tucker; her sister Charlotte Hicks (Johnson); her sister-in-law Georgia Sauls; and her close friend Barbara Malone. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home (2704 S Park Ave, Herrin, IL 62948). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
