He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Roy Hemmen; his grandmothers, Glenda Crowder and Cathrine Trubiano; and his brother Jesse Gurley. He is survived by: his parents, John Nelson and Julie Nelson (Samuel); his wife Hannah Nelson; his sons, Vincent and Deaglán Nelson; his sisters, Morgan, Miquelie and Mollie; his mother-in-law Laura Hemmen; and his siblings-in-law, Dara (Austin), Josiah and Star (Derrick). He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family (Hannah Nelson) and will be accepted at the funeral home.
