It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Whitecotton of Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Funkhouser and Betty Funkhouser (Cavitt). She is survived by: her husband Ronald Whitecotton; her children, Shawn Whitecotton (Teresa) and Sherry Burns (Bob); her grandchildren, Raea Whitecotton, Colten Whitecotton, Braden Whitecotton and Trent; her brothers, Jake Burns and Caitlynn Burns; and her great grandchildren, Sienna, Edwin, Rilee and Logan.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Energy, 101 South Pershing, Energy, IL 62933; envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
