Karon S. Bauernfeind Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karon S. Bauernfeind of Herrin, Illinois, born in Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Noble Thomas and Charlotte Mae Sullivan (Buskill); and her sister Ann Minckler. She is survived by: her son John Bauernfeind of Herrin; her granddaughter Jillian Bauernfeind; her brother-in-law Bill Minckler of Makanda; her nephews, Eric Minckler (Lisa) of Warrensburg, MO and Jim Minckler (Lindsay Legere) of De Soto; her niece Lynn Stock (Stephen) of San Jose, CA; her great-nephews, Brendan Minckler, Michael Stock, Parker Minckler and Ethan Minckler; and her great-niece Britany Minckler.
The family asks that if you plan on attending the service please wear RED in honor of their mother, Karon and due to health concerns associated with Covid-19 virus and the signing of executive order by the Governor of the State of Illinois, if you plan on attending services, Facial Masks will be REQUIRED.
Memorial Donations are suggested and may be made to the Alzheimer's Association; envelopes will be available at the cemetery and will be accepted at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home.
