He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Murray and Mary Louise Murray (Calcaterra). He is survived by: his wife Carol Murray of Herrin; his children, John H. Murray II, Karen Scherer (Norman), Kathy Metz and Maribeth Vanderbeck (Joe); his grandchildren, Landon Metz (Hannah), Elizabeth Lemaire (Trey), Gavin Metz (Sarah), Eric Scherer (Crystal), Braden Metz, Blake Scherer, Mariah Vanderbeck, Madison Vanderbeck, Aidan Murray and Charlotte Murray; his great grandchildren, Eze Metz, Rowan Lemaire and Sutton Lemaire; his sister Barbara A. Manfredini of Herrin; his brother-in-law John L. Marlow (Laura) of St. Louis, MO; his niece Darcy Severson (Dave); his cousin Phyllis Ditto; his close friends, Albert Saliba, Angela, David Farley and John Manfredini; and his brother-in-law Henry R. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
