She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Smith and Nora Smith (Yates); and her son Steven R. Kerr. She is survived by: her daughter Christy Rae Gartner (Kurt) of Mulkeytown, IL; her granddaughter Rachel Gartner (Bart Bradley); her great grandchildren, Hudson Gartner, Abigil Gartner and Isabella Gartner; and her brother Carl Smith.

Memorials may be made to the Wright-Way Animal Rescue, 8459 Old Highway 13, Murphysboro, IL 62966.
