He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Clinton and Mary Smith (Darnell); his wife Mary Elizabeth Harget; his sister Ethel Hale; and his pets, Greta, Otis and Buford.
He is survived by: his son Richard Smith (Brett Ferrari); his nephew Mike Hale; his friend Sue Bresett; and his cousins, Sonya Garver and Betsy Dietz.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home (322 N Division St, Carterville, IL 62918). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
