It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy L. Scarlette of Herrin, Illinois, born in Orient, Illinois, who passed away on May 3, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Harper and Mary Harper (Bailor); her husband Jim Scarlette; her siblings, Helen Vanwey, Nell Pike, Chris Bowyer, Harry Harper, Leonard Harper and Ed Harper; her nephews, Jim Bowyer and Bill Bowyer; and her niece Jackie Pfender.
She is survived by: her sister Ann Hancock of West Frankfort; and her nieces and nephews, David Pike (Brenda), Tim Bowyer (Jan), Pat Hendricks, Lois Harper, Debbie Snyder (Les), Dotti "Julie" Parkhill (Mike) and Jeff Hancock (Karen). She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
