She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph F. Markus and Bertha Markus (Saiebilski); her husband William R. "Bill" Swalls; her son Steven Swalls; her sister Virginia; her brother-in-law William "Bill" Morgan; her niece Kristen Morgan-Perry; and her great-niece Grace Katherine Perry.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary; her children-in-law, Scott Meadows of Herrin, IL and Debbi Cox (Jay) of Carterville, IL; her grandchildren, Jason Kern (Jacky), Stuart Swalls (Kelly), Stephanie Haust, Samantha Swalls (Timothy Black), Joshua Stricker, Sidney Johnson, Danielle Dunlap (Jay), Cassandra Meadows, Jacob Meadows (Ashlee) and Bethany Meadows; and her great grandchildren, Reese, Vivian, Madilyn, Joseph, Norah, Olivia, Jonathan, Hannah, Jackson and Ayla. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
