He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Smith and Pearl Smith (Orange); his son Rickey Smith; and his siblings, Edna McWaters, Lavern Ferlong, Harry Smith, Alfred Smith and Richerd Smith.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Jean (McPheron); his daughter Vickey Anderson (David) of Herrin; his grandchildren, Matt Smith (Maddie), Chase Anderson (Andrea) and Scott Anderson (Morgan Waters); his great grandchildren, Avah Anderson, Kinley Anderson, Brentlee Anderson, Maelyn Smith, Tytus Anderson, Maddi Griffin and Brayden Knight; and his brother-in-law Larry McPheron (Kathy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
