He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hale and Nellie Hale (Harris); his wife Lorraine Wilsoncroft; and his siblings, Margaret Absher, Paul and William Hale.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Nelson Wilsoncroft (Dorothy) of Curwensville, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
