Simmons of Herrin, Illinois, born in Carrier Mills, Illinois, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Richard and Amy Simmons (Reed); his close friend Mary A. Ronsi; and his brother Leonard Eugene Simmons. He is survived by: his close friends, Rev. Bob McKnight of Herrin, Barbara Myers of Herrin and Bob Jennings of Herrin; his brother Richard Simmons (Sonja) of Volga, SD; his niece Holli (Wally); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Codi and Zachary; and his pet Leo. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
