In the vast expanse of eternity, Betty shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Betty farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Armstrong and Bess Hamilton; her husband Philip B. Busch; and her son Thomas "Skippy" Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Sue Morgan of Hurst, IL; and her grandson Thomas Hogan of Herrin, IL. She is also survived by numerous cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home (2704 S Park Ave, Herrin, IL 62948). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
