We are sad to announce that on November 6, 2023, at the age of 97, Barbara D. Francis of Herrin, Illinois, born in Marion, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Elmer and Sarah Gladys Edmonds; her husband Paul Francis; her brother James Edmonds; her niece Brenda Preston (Boren); and her siblings-in-law, Ray and Mary Belle Boren.
She is survived by: her children, Paul E. Francis of Herrin, Sallie Surprenant (Francis) and James Francis; her granddaughters, Sarah Surprenant of Franklin, Tennessee and Samantha Buschman (Francis); her sister-in-law Faune Edmonds of Marion; and her nieces and nephews, Jerry Boren of Herrin, David Boren, Crystal Powell (Edmonds), Robin Deering (Edmonds) of Marion and Ricky Edmonds of Alton.
