He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Hazel Wasson (Jennings); his daughters, Maria A Wasson and Marrainnia J. Wasson; his wife Mary Jane; his siblings, Roy, Robert, Darrell, Nelson Wasson and Wanda Patton; his parents-in-law, James and Marie Lett; and his siblings-in-law, Madeline Robert, Gertrude Dodd and James C. Lett, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Lewis Wasson Jr. (Alicia) of Herrick, IL and James E. Wasson (Rhonda) of Cowden, IL; his grandchildren, Zackery Wasson, Garrett Wasson (Dawn), Stephanie Nohren (Luke), Savannah Kennett (Justin), Andrew Wasson and Franklin Ray; and his siblings, Wayne J. Wasson (Jannette) of Albuquerque, NM and Selma Crowder of Baytown, TX.. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, one great great grandson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar First Christian Church (30 South St, Herrick, IL 62431). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to Oak Grove Cemetery.
