He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Hunt and Rita Hunt (Waterous); and his son Russell D. Hunt. He is survived by: his wife Cinda "Cindy" Lou Jones; his daughter Vickie Sue Fountain; and his grandchildren, Sierra Hensley (Ryan) and Skyler Erisman (Blake).

Memorials may be made to the Putnam Christian Church.
