He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Turpen and Eleanor Turpen (Briner); and his siblings, Kayeta Boddie, Rita Beebe, Carol Thomas and Daryl Turpen.
He is survived by: his children, Edi Perdew (Roger) of Henry, Trisha Turpen (Craig Knowlton), Doug Turpen (Stacy) and Marybeth Turpen (Paul Adekoya) of Washington, B. J.; his grandchildren, Jacob, Patrick, Kimberly, Savannah, Jaret, Madison, Justin, Jacee, Jozie, Jasmine, Will, Alec and Eliana; his great grandchild Paisley; and his sisters, Linda Darlington (Jim) of Henry and Barbara Tucker (Bob) of Henry.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Henry Ambulance or the St. John's XXIII Parish Outreach for senior meals.
