She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph J. Short and Martha Short (Cosgrove); and her son Mark Jacobsen. She is survived by: her children, Lois Simmons of Apex, NC, Jill Irvin (Dan) of Iowa City, IA and Jaye Jacobsen of Grayslake; and her daughter-in-law Barb Jacobsen of Bettendorf, IA.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
