He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde William and Nellie Mae Adkins; his son Mack; and his stepdaughter Mary Lynn. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Joshua Gordon, Aubrie, Kaleb Hughes, Nicholas Adkins and Seraphina; his daughters, Brenda Hughes (Edward) and Roberta Adkins; and his former wife Elsie Adkins. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
