It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard DeThorne of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, who passed away on May 31, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond DeThorne and Clara DeThorne (Selzer); his siblings, Joanne and Raymond DeThorne (Bud); and his daughters, Barbara, Susan and Michelle.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Richard DeThorne (Carlen), Megan Olson (Daniel), Mark DeThorne (Jane), Jennifer Rockstroh, Rebecca Weaver (Colin), Terri Weeden (Skiff), Cindy March (Gregory) and Tracy Blasius (Michael); his brother Daniel DeThorne (Eileen); and his grandchildren, Daniel, Clara, Emma Olson, Elizabeth, Natalie, Luke, Thomas, Joseph "Joey" DeThorne, Rhea DeThorne, Sarah March, Evelyn, Charli and Lily Blasius. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Heart Association, Mended Little Hearts, or Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County.
