With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maryon G. Bensen of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 15, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Purves and Molly Kwasinski; her husband Victor L. Bensen; her sister Shirley Biegalski; and her sister-in-law Marbeth Lange.
She is survived by: her children, Jay Bensen (Carol), Gayle Jenkins (Pastor Jack), Lynn Greene (Richard) and Glenn Bensen (Janice); and her grandchildren, Nicholas Bensen (Jessica), Tiffany Bensen, Dan Jenkins (Hannah), Amy Palmer (Matt), David Jenkins (Jayme), Ben Harms, Bethany Harms (Dakota Perry), Brooke Ott (Coleman), Abby Bensen (Josh Ficarra) and Eric Bensen. She is also survived by 5 nieces, 2 nephews, also surviving are many great -nieces, nephews, cousins and other dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in memory of Maryon would be appreciated for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 4619 N. Ravenswood, Chicago, Il. 60640.
