He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John and Mary of Kilcorney; his wife Bernadine; his children, Nadine Cavanaugh (Michael), Mary Porto (Tony), Teresa Fatina (David), Noreen Flanagan (John) and John; his grandchildren, John, Anne, Michael, Kathryn, Caroline, Ryan and Kendall; his sister Mary O'Donnell (late James); his nephew John Pat (Julie); his great-nephew Christopher (Kathleen); and his great-niece Natalie. He was also cherished by other nieces and nephews.
In John's memory, the family requests that memorials may be made to St. Francis de Sales Church, Lake Zurich, or Providence Catholic High School, New Lenox.
