She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin August and Mary Ann Bern (Trebelhorn); and her sister Janet Youngbloom. She is survived by: her children, Lanette L. VanEtten (Timothy), Leslie M. Lindgren (Mark) and Shane M. Miller (Joby); her grandchildren, Chloe Cable (Mark), Luke Lindgren, Leif Miller, Lane Miller and Hudson Miller; her great grandchild Athena Cable; her pets, Popeye, Percy, Roxie and Sasha; and her siblings, Mary A. Sloke and Jerry Bern (Linda). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made in Ruby's name to Mason District Hospital.
