He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Garlisch and Alberta Garlisch (Carter); his sister Sandra Bohm; and his wife Doris Irene Baker Dierker. He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen Garlisch of Quincy, IL and Roberta Hersom (Ronald) of Emmetsburg, IA.; his granddaughters, Laura Sweet (Ben) of Johnston, IA and Elizabeth Bird (Jesse) of Sioux Falls, SD.; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Eleanor, Daniel Sweet, Emily and Elena Bird.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Pauls Lutheran Church (121 N Pearl St, Havana, IL 62644). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Adams Point Assisted Living, in Quincy, or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Havana.
