He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Henderson of Havana; his sons, Lucien Hughes III of Peoria and Lawrence Hughes of Canton; his grandson Lawrence Rudolph Hughes, Jr.; and his siblings, Dennis Hughes of Wisconsin, Mary Beth Druien of Mason City, Danny Hughes of Mason City, Luke Hughes of Mason City, Molly Williams of Mason City and Melinda Copper of Wisconsin.
