She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Lowe and Margaret Lowe (Durdy); her husband James McFarlin; her brother Kent Lowe; and her aunt Nudeen Alexander (James).

She is survived by: her niece Jaime Lowe (Shirley Stephens) of Pekin.

Memorial donations may be made in Janis's name to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
