She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Levurn Bohm and Grace Bohm (Gilbert); her grandparents, Albert and Josephine Bohm; her uncle Merritt Shirley (Veldora); her husband Wayne Vanderveen; her daughter Robin Labonte (Paul) of Ellijay; her grandchildren, Ryan and Michael Sjoerdsma; her son Brantz Vanderveen; and her sisters, Velma O'Brien and Sylvia Meinders.

Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Vanderveen's name to Mason District Hospital or St. John's Lutheran Church.
