We are sad to announce that on April 3, 2025, at the age of 60, Gary L. Griffin of Havana, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Gary may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clarence and Carla Lee Griffin (McClenning); his nephew Ty Kachanuk; his grandparents, Clarence and Adelaide Griffin of Havana; and also Mary Alta McClenning of Santa Clara, California..
He is survived by: his siblings, Greg Griffin of Havana, Lori Kachanuk (Mark) of Peoria and Lisa Lippert (David) of Chatham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Laurel Hill Cemetery (1105 E Laurel Ave, Havana, IL 62644).
Memorial donations may be made in Gary's name to the Havana Easter Egg Hunt or the Havana Rural Fire Department.
