It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Short of Havana, Illinois, born in Virginia, Illinois, who passed away on December 19, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Perry and Ernie Perry; her husband William Short (Bill); and her sister Sandra Mae Johnson. She is survived by: her sister LouAnn Woodburn (Billy) of Mackinaw; and her daughters, Dee Bockler (Bob) of Bartonville and Sheri Perez (Mike) of Dahinda. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandson.

Deane owned a successful clothing store, DeSher's in Washburn, IL and for many years served as the Native American specialist for the Sun Foundation.
