She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Lasswell and Dorothy Lasswell (Bevard); and her brothers, Sheldon Bevard, James Lasswell, Larry Cooper and Charlie Cooper.
She is survived by: her husband James Paul; her children, Annette "A. J." Burgett (Jim) of Havana, Marsha Burnett (Doug) of London Mills, Bill Elgin (Kim) of Knoxville and Brandon "Bo" Elgin (Hind) of Havana; and her sister Dorothy Maxine Swift of Bushnell. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations can be left in Doris's name to the Disabled Veterans.
