She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Willoughby and Lee Inez Willoughby (Pruitt); her husband Wesley H. Hilst; and her siblings, Ray Willoughby, Gwen Schwindinhammer and Laquita Litchfield.

She is survived by: her children, Eric Hilst (Kathy) of Delavan, Gwen Lutz (Charles) of Wisconsin and Peter Hilst of Havana; her grandchildren, Erika, Olivia, Isabella, Cody, Jacob, Gus Hilst, Lauren, Ian Russell, Joshua, Alex, Ruger and Derringer Hilst; and her siblings, Jerry Willoughby of Washington, Willard Willoughby of Manito, Nell Sanchez of Albuquerque and Doris Howard of Sullivan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
