We are sad to announce that on July 2, 2022, at the age of 87, Daniel A. Roat of Havana, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry George Roat and Julia Hulda Roat (Hendricker); his parents-in-law, Charles Roat (Thelma), Alice Murphy (Jack), Mildred Park (Earl), Roy Roat (Florence), Paul Roat (Lynette), Bess Wade (Dean), John Roat (Phyllis), Marvin Roat and Gerald Roat (Doug Reedy); and his brother Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Eleanor (Ediger); his children, Lenora Roat Arrington (Daniel Richard Arrington III) of Mt. Airy, MD and Gregory Allen Roat (Shelly Lynn) of Athens, IL; his grandchildren, Daniel Richard Arrington IV (Mary Mock Arrington), James Arrington, Lucas Arrington, Anna Arrington, Jeslyn Roat and Sam Roat; his great grandchildren, Charlotte Arrington, Owen Arrington, Vivian Arrington and Henry Arrington; his sister Carol Reedy of Prescott, AZ; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Roat (Marvin) and Katie Roat (Gerald). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or the Havana Church of the Nazarene in Dan's name.
