We are sad to announce that on August 12, 2020, at the age of 86, Charles Lawrence Benson Jr. (Havana, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Benson, Sr. and Betty M. Benson (Motzeck); and his half-sister Janet Gillespey. He is survived by: his wife Doris Benson (Homer); his children, Gary Benson (Deborah), Larry Benson (Diana), Cathy Helton (Dale), Debbie Tuley (Sam), Carolyn March (Travis) and John Benson (Teresa); his grandchildren, Bret, Abbey, Michael, John, Ryan (Rebecca), Charlie (Angela), Marie, Alex (Kristin), Charla (Thomas), Christina (Ryan), Scot and Sydney (JP); and his great grandchildren, Noah, Adlyn, Braxton, Ellie, Lily and Calvin.
Due to COVID-19, private family burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
